Main logo: Fusion Cafe
Project: Graphic restaurant logo design for coffee shop & deli.

Logo design for Food Services, Bars, Grills and Restaurants. When it comes to design and creative latitude, it could be argued that logos created for restaurants and companies in the food service industry have the widest range of all the various industries our designers have worked with. In no other Fusion Cafe Restaurant Logodesign category does the logo so determine the theme, essence, market and attitude of the company it represents. The direction of the image is often influenced highly by economical factors of the establishment and the clientele it serves - does the restaurant, bar or grill want to present themselves to the world as an trendy eatery with a Cassandras Restaurant Logoprice tag to match? Or does the restaurant want to impress price * speed - along the lines of a budget, fast food hamburger, pizzeria, sandwich shop or grill? Does the restaurant specialize in particular cultural or ethnic cuisine - Indian, Chinese or Mexican to name a few - and are there cultural implications, and sensitivities of same? Does the restaurant wish to appeal to a conservative business market, or the weekend party crowd who are more likely to identify with a design that features features a mascot or cartoon as the main focus of the logo?

Marketing & advertising with restaurant logos

Many restaurants also like to market themselves by selling their own line of paraphernalia - clothing, mugs and hats are among the most popular, and that is often a factor in Blues Street Barbeque Restaurant Logodeciding the type of imagery required. A "would I wear a T-Shirt with this logo printed on it?" type of question. Colours play a large part in the creation, and the use of the design (though not in its development - most logos are created in black and white before colours are added) and the colour scheme is largely dependant on the target audience. While conservative restaurants generally lean towards muted earth colours, younger customers would generally find brighter, more vibrant colour themes appealing. Designing an effective restaurant logo usually involves some detailed consultation with our designers before project commencement.

Julios Restaurant design Thomas Allen Coffee Company Block Brothers Sandwich company
Julio's Taqueria. Simple graphic treatment of a chili pepper combined with a funky font set give this design an upscale, trendy look. The version here is four colour, but we also developed a spot colour version for economical printing. Thomas Allen Coffee Company. Fairly straight forward treatment of a pair of coffee beans make up the central focus of this logo. The design is set up in a 'shield' format, with a square aspect ratio - perfect for coffee packaging and labels. Block Brothers Sandwich Company & Restaurant. Technically speaking, this design is much simpler than it looks. The linear treatment was critical to the project in order to work with vinyl signs and foam box setups.
The Brathaus Restaurant Alter Eatgo Restaurant Maunailli Greens (Lettuce Production)
The Brathaus. This restaurant - specializing in German cuisine - wanted a logo that symbolized their cultural roots without resorting to cliche imagery or graphics. Accordingly this text logo uses typography and colour to establish the German flavour of the eatery. Alter Eat Go. A play on words (Alter Ego) was a great concept that was worked into the logo itself. Designed for a health-focused restaurant in Chicago, the logo features two whimsical characters with an equally non-orthadox type treatment. Maunawilli Greens. This logo, designed for a farm specializing in a particular type of lettuce, features a heavily stylized head of lettuce as the main iconic portion of the design. Our designers also worked in a star - a remnant of the original farm brand.
Palm Springs Cafe & Coffee Shop Greenbriar Confections Guataguano Bread Company
Palm Springs Cafe. This design, for a Palm Springs upscale coffee shop, shows what is possible using clever graphics combined with non-traditional font work can turn ordinary concepts (coffee cup, beans, palm trees) into a decent logo. Greenbriar Confections. A design for a candy company that uses old candy 'shoppe' graphics to indicate old-fashioned, nome-made quality. This logo needed to be simple in order to print on candy wrappers at extremely small size. A monochrome version was also needed for candy imprints. Guaraguano Bread. Design for a Dominican Republic based bread company. Fairly complex illustrative logo features a native Dominican with traditional garb and greeting. This logo is printed four colour on all the bread packaging and used to promote the company itself.
Kokobana Mexican Grill Papa's Sports Loung & Casino Chef Crab restaurant logo
Kokobana Mexican Grill. One of the all time favorite logos from our core site, this cartoon lobster is a classic example of how a highly illustrative logo can be utilized effectively as part of a restaurant brand build. Designed as four colour. Papa's Sports Lounge and Casino. This artwork was the result of a mid-project restart brought about by brand consultants. While the style of the design is on the cartoonish side, the art is still serious enough to work as part of a casino brand. Read about the design process behind Papa's. Chef Crab. Design for a crab and seafood restaurant is actually quite simple, despite having the look of a more illustrative work. Rather than cartoon characters, the client opted for a more realistic depiction of the crab, shrimp and fish. Chef's hat was a late project addition.
