Client: Health Nut Energy Bars (For Goodness Sakes, Inc.)
Project: Logo & package design design (label)

More
Sports Jewelry LogoThe Health Nut logo (left) and subsequent package and label designs (below) were developed for a British Columbia health food company, For Goodness Sakes. The company business model sees it providing healthy nutrition through a broad selection of organic and all natural health food snacks. .

During the duration of this particular project, the name of the product line was changed no less than three times. Originally, the the product line, and subsequent logo, were to feature the deliberately euphemistic moniker Eat Me Raw (preliminary designs below). A risky proposition to be sure and after a lot of feedback and discussions with our designers, vendors and typical customers, it was decided that the name was simply too risque for any serious branding and marketing. We tossed around a few various names - Rawsome was a close second - but we eventually settled down on Health Nut and designed a suitable logo (inset).

Preliminary name logos

Once the new logo was developed, it was on to the product line - a wide range of organic bars that need to be branded with the Health Nut 'look' on their labels, point of purchase material and adverising. All featured bold, blocky graphics with the trademark character and typography used in the primary mark.

Label Set 1

More label artwork. As these labels are printed on foil, we needed to keep the graphics simple and linear. We also needed to create the artwork for an additional printing plate, a preliminary white base on which we can print the artwork.

Label & Package Design

Our designers also worked on marketing and point of purchase material. The artwork below, originally planned for a die-cut display box, was also developed as a booth banner. Typography, colour and graphic style are all very similar, creating a unique visual identity that is quickly recognizable in packaging, brochures and advertising.

Health Nut Banner Art

Another set of label artwork. Over the course of the project, we worked with dozens of colour combinations and palettes, always with the notion that these label designs needed to have retail impact as well as appropriate colour schemes and graphics for a food product being distributed throughout the British Columba market.
