While producing product that is technically 'just' a pastime should, in theory anyway, be about 'fun'. The entertainment industry is anything but - it's a multi billion dollar business with the expected cut throat competition and fierce battle for market penetration and visibility. Entertainment logos play a large part of this battle, and are an incredibly important part of any entertainment brand - be it for a record label, film production company, special effects studio or an amusement park - all of which are featured as examples on this page. As entertainment is such a wide ranging design category, it's difficult to outline a theme that would be common with designs created for the involved industries. We can, however, make some generalities that may serve when anticipating the design of an entertainment-themed logo. It's a pretty safe bet that any brand artwork developed for an entertainment company is at one time or another, cutting edge. In an industry where everyone prides themselves on being creative, no-one wants to be seen as a 'follower'. If a logo created for a a particular entertainment company reminds you of another, it's probably a failure as a design.
Original entertainment logos. Stand out from the crowd.
When developing one of these types of logos, the point of the exercise is proving to the world that you are one-of-a-kind in your field, not another face in an endless sea of companies hoping to make a quick buck in the field. Entertainment companies are usually open for more liberal designs, and aren't opposed to pushing the envelope in terms of what our designers can, and can't do. Some of the logos on this page illustrate some unique design solutions we've come up with over the years.

| Effekt Studion. Highly rendered illustrative logo for a German film makeup and special effects studio. Featuring two characters from the movies, plus an iconoclastic film reel, this design has been a favorite on our core site since 2000. |
Light's Trivia Action. Design for an entertainment trivia board game is highly rendered, yet simple enough technically to be adaptable for a wide range of uses. Colours in the artwork were muted, as not to interfere with the photography on the game box lid and the board itself. |
The Big Blue Marble Company. Iconic logo required quite a few different design elements - factory graphic, globe gears and the name of the company. If developed carefully, several images can be combined into a logo without causing too much visual clutter. |

| The Retirement Hour Radio Show. Name of the logo says it all. We used a graphic depiction of an old mike (similar to what we did with our podcast series logo). We also developed a cottage-like landscape and put the two elements into a shield format. Shield logos are extremely adaptable. |
Upbeat Online Entertainment Magazine. This fully-illustrative design has been the source of great discussion since it was designed almost a decade ago To see the detail involved in the artwork, you can view the logo as it was used as a presentation folder design. |
Kainoa Music Sales and Marketing. This Hawaiian based music company wanted to incorporate some traditional imagery, but with a simple graphic treatment. Our designers used images for starting reference but converted the native carving into a stylized graphic, more appropriate for a logo. |

| Fast Shoes Productions. Simple iconic logo for a production company that utilizes some literal imagery to communicate the theme of the company. Two colour palette ensures that printing costs don't get out of hand. |
Zogrito. A whimsical logo for a Mexican bulletin board and forum. This logo was later discarded for a more traditional version, but this one remains our favorite of the project. |
Fun City Amusements & Arcade logo. This design for an amusement and arcade complex needed to appeal to children. Accordingly, it was designed used simple shapes and bright colours. |

 |
| Blue Omega Entertainment. Despite this logos relative complexity and colour range, the design for Blue Omega was created as a vector based logo with all the resultant advantages. |
CD Video Studio. This logo, despite it's relative complexity, was turned into a fairly decent flash animation. As the company wanted to put the animation at the beginning of their DVDs, the flash was also converted into video formats. |
Audio Net. A Spanish professional music equipment service. Sometimes, a simple straightforward logo is all that you need. |
