Brochure design and magazine advertisement for ATV accessory manufacturer Goblin Offroad. The Logo Factory was involved heavily during the brand development of this Arizona based company, developing a full package of visual identity material. First phase of the project was the development of Goblin's main logo - an illustrative design created in full colour. Mindful of the need for black and white versions, we also created monochrome versions (left). Clients are often wary of full colour logos, having been told that four colour reproduction can be expensive. While in the most general of terms, that is true, modern printing technology has reduced the price of full colour printing, and full colour logos are now within the range of most mid-sized businesses. Having a full colour logo opens several design avenues, especially when it comes to brochure design and magazine advertisements. For the Goblin brochure, the client supplied us with photographs of their product using a consumer level digital camera. Most cameras are capable of taking pictures that can be worked with, as long as they're enhanced by someone familiar with Photoshop.

In the case of the Goblin brochure photography, our designers had to remove backgrounds and 'air brush' the images to bring them up to print quality. We designed the brochure at several different sizes, as it was also used in several offroad racing magazines.

Even though the brochure and magazine ad artwork were 'retail level' and as such incorporated a lot of information and typography (client supplied), we kept in mind all the previous design material we'd developed. Keeping a constant look and feel goes a long way to developing a brand, and you can see how the magazine ads and brochures fit visually with the company business cards.
