We originally thought that is was kind of silly to point this out. After all - doesn't everybody who's claiming to design logos and corporate brands swear off clip? Apparently not. It is, unfortunately, a technique used by many firms advertising 'quickie' logo design, especially those found exclusively on the internet. Accordingly, we've decided to make an official policy regarding the use of clip art and so-called logo templates - and about the fact that the use of same is completely taboo in our studio.

The Logo Factory Canada DOES NOT utilize clip art, templates, 'pre-made logos', 'recycled designs' or material generated by DYI logo design software in ANY of our logo design packages. All design work and corporate identity material made available through our studio is designed from scratch, and every piece of artwork is unique to every project using client's submitted project profiles. All material on our galleries and portfolios are ACTUAL project samples. Any 'archive' material and stock logos made available for purchase is marked clearly as such, featured on specific sites and priced with the appropriate discount. All our clients can rest assured that The Logo Factory is a Clip Art, logo template and Copycat Free Zone.

Company marketing polices

1) The Logo Factory Inc (Canada) is an online "click-and-mortar" studio, in the business of supplying our clients with brand related services and/or merchandise including, corporate identity design, logo design, web site development, online asset storage and retrieval of digital artwork, printing services, etc.

2) Ownership of our web site(s) is clearly marked in the Whois database (or similar registering body or agency)

3) The corporate or private ownership of our site(s) is clearly marked on the first (home) or second (entry) page of our site(s)

4) Contact information including telephone and fax phone#s, e-mail and a physical mailing address is readily available in our site(s). See our contact page for more information.

5) Any examples of work presented in our design portfolio as examples of our skills or techniques are ACTUAL case studies of projects and/or assignments performed by in-house designers at The Logo Factory Inc., and when possible make available links to the work in use.

6) Our site(s) does not use commercially available and distributed clip art in any design case studies, site design, presentations or case studies and/or examples without clearly stating the usage, source and ownership of such clip art.

8) Our site(s) will not misrepresent our abilities, education, training, standards of performance, certifications, trade group affiliations, technical inventory, staff number, or experiences. This includes statements related to performance history, company resources (staff, equipment, software and proprietary products), location, legal status (state, Canadian provincial or federal incorporation) and client lists.

9) We will never falsely represent the work, designs or artwork, including material submitted by non-house designers as our own. ALL material presented on our site(s), including the web site(s) layout, is designed by on-staff house designers.
