We are web designers (not programmers) and as such, the main focus of any TLF web design project is visual appeal, dynamic yet logical navigation, and the extension of your corporate identity. We believe that web sites should be high in graphic appearance, but uncluttered in navigation logic, and while emerging technologies such as Flash are wonderful, they should not be overused. We do not believe in technology for technology sake, but rather your web presentation should be elegant, and simple enough to be accessible to all. Beyond the visual appeal of your Internet presence, there are protocols and Internet issues that any site owner should become familiar with. This is where our experience comes in handy – we have been involved in web-based businesses since 1996, and have practically grown up with the medium.

We approach your web design in the same manner as we would tackle your logo design – the analysis of the direction you wish to take, the message you are trying to deliver, and the audience you are trying to appeal to. To this end, we look at the design ingredients that could go into any web design project, and how they apply to your unique corporate identity. Through our distinct design phases we then create a custom web site shell tailored to your specific plans.

Getting Started

Step One
In order for The Logo Factory to design your new web site, we need to first determine what stage you're at in launching your site. Do you have web hosting? A domain name? Do you already have a web site and just need it overhauled, or are you completely new to the online world? Once these elements have been determined, we can then move on to actually developing your site. We'll first need to plan what you want your web site to do - is it a simple 'I'm here' advertising site? Or a full-blown ecommerce site? Does you web site plans consist of 5 pages, 10 pages or is it a lot larger, needing some form of content management system? All of these factors will help you determine which web design package you need to purchase and allow The Logo Factory to assign our resources to your project.

Step Two
At this point we can also start planning out your site hierarchy, the layout of your entire site. By organizing your site in a logical and efficient manner, we can ensure that your site will be user-friendly and easy to navigate.

During this design phase, we also need to discuss content - many web design projects stall unnecessarily due to a lack of content when in actuality - "content is King". It is your site content that your visitors will read. To a great degree, site content also determines how your site will be found through various search engines. Assembling your content at this stage is critical to the completion of your web site. In terms of content, you'll need to think about the text portion, as well as any illustration or photography support. We can utilize photography that you supply or we can work with stock photography. We can also utilize custom graphic design or illustration.

Step Three
By now we should have your site built. The navigation system should be linked up to all the appropriate pages. Content should be added (if included). At this point, we can finish up with assorted bits and pieces - page titles, META tags and ALT tags on photographs. Your site will be functioning and ready to launch. If your package includes it, we can now install your new web site onto your domain server. And you're now ready for visitors to your new web site home.

Our SIlver Web Design Package is designed to be a 'starter' web package but still boasts enough features and design latitude for a truly professional web presence. Your finished website will feature a dynamic home page and up to 5 internal pages, complete with linking structure, mouseover button navigation and photography support (photos can be selected from stock or supplied by you).

Start production 7 days from now. Includes unique home page and up to 5 internal pages preliminary concepts and designs. Up to 2 revision rounds on home page and internal page design. Package perfect for small information based web sites. Requires 50% ($975.00) prior to project activation. Balance due upon finalization of project. More details

Our Gold Web Design Package is intended to be a mid-sized web package, boasting enough features, options and design latitude for a truly professional web presence. Your finished website will feature a dynamic home page and up to 10 internal pages, complete with linking structure, mouseover button and/or pull down menu navigation and photography support (photos can be selected from stock or supplied by you). As an no-charge option we can also add custom illustrated icons to your site (one per section and/or page). Throughout the entire web design process, you can keep in touch with your designer via e-mail, Live Chat or phone so that your welcome input can always be factored into the direction your site takes. All our web design packages follow our 'look and feel' philosophy, with your corporate logo as the 'spark plug' that drives the design flavor, making your Internet 'home' an extension of your corporate image.

As an no-charge option we can also add custom illustrated icons to your site (one per section and/or page). Our Platinum Web Design Package also includes a Flash Logo Lick animation of your logo that can be used on your home page or throughout your site.

Website design 'gizmos'

While our Silver Web Design Package has enough features to get you up and running with a professional Internet presence, you may wish to add some 'bells and whistles' to your site to give it that extra visual appeal. Here's some features you can add (subject to additional charges):

Flash Logo Lick
Nothing sets your web site apart more than a great little animation of your logo, either as a center piece of your home page, or in the corner of your internal pages. Nothing too wild (you don't want to stall the download of your page with anything too heavy on the bandwidth) but dynamic enough to give an impression of professionalism and attention to detail. Custom Icon & Artwork
Stock photography is fine for a website (in fact, we use a lot of it on our own site). For an added visual flair, we can always incorporate custom icon sets into your site. Icons are a traditional method of website navigation, but largely overlooked due to the expense of creating custom artwork, as well as the skill set required to encapsulate a web section into a simple badge-like design. That's not a problem at The Logo Factory. Our designers are skilled at creating custom artwork and graphic design, so having us design a custom icon set is a snap.
