At The Logo Factory, we recommend that you reproduce your logo on every scrap of paper that leaves your office. That is particularly true of your letterhead, envelopes and business cards. They are your company’s foot soldiers – promoting your business, service or product as they make their way around from one pair of eyes to the next. And in an ever-competitive world, you better make sure that your stationery grabs the attention of your desired audience before your competition. Letterhead, business card & envelope design

We don’t just ‘slap’ your logo onto letterhead, business card and envelope layouts. Every stationery kit is designed, just like your logo, using our creative experience, technical knowledge of the processes involved, and cost-cutting techniques that many printers don’t want you to know. And once we’ve designed your stationery kit to your satisfaction, we’ll prepare your files as industry standard print impositions using Pantone spot colours (or CYMK four colour process where available). We’ll supply you with PDF versions of your letterheads, prepared in a manner that is commercial printer friendly. You can get started using your stationery, complete with your new logo, right away.

How our stationery design services work

How does our stationery and letterhead design process work? The same way that our logo design process works. You supply all the relevant information via our online stationery work sheets. Your designer then takes this information along with your graphic design logo, and designs several versions of your stationery using appropriate colours, design elements and accents, complimentary fonts and design.

Once the preliminary designs are completed, you can login to our Factory Floor area, where you can preview the designs, request and approve revisions and proof all the typography. Once approved, your designer will then prepare print-ready impositions (that can be taken to most print houses) that can be downloaded from your client-only area. We also ship the material via CD, so you are assured of always having digital versions of your stationery ready to go. Should you wish, The Logo Factory can print your material in-house. Just like design, we offer flat-rate printing quotes, which while reasonable, also reflect the baby-sitting of your project that our designers perform. As professional designers, they want the logo that THEY created to look it’s very best.

Stationery and letterhead packages are available as ‘stand-alone’ purchases, either after the logo design process, or using your already established logo design (outside logo design material must be in correct print-ready formats. If not, we may have to perform logo design repair prior to stationery design). Getting started - what we'll need

In order to design your stationery, as well as streamline the design process, we'll need the following items before we can begin developing your artwork:

Vector version of your logo.
If your logo was created by TLF, we'll already have this vector artwork on file. If not, and you only have a low-resolution or pre-printed version available, we may need to perform some logo repair.

All relevant contact information.
Generally speaking, we'll need all the information you'll traditionally find on business cards - name, address, phone, fax, website address and e-mail address. If we're designing additional cards, we'll need the relevant names for those as well. Our studio will send you a 'stationery template form' via e-mail - simply type in the information and e-mail it back.

Stationery design - what it includes

Exclusive Factory Floor client page for your project.

5 business day delivery of preliminary designs. Artwork includes letterhead, business card and envelope design. Designs are generally based on the layout of your business card.

Design and creation of your stationery design artwork (1 colour, 2 - 3 spot colour or 4 colour process). Includes up to 4 individualized business cards (additional cards can be order for $15.00 per).

2 preliminary designs of your stationery artwork.

2 additional unique versions of your stationery (after preliminary designs have been presented).

Up to 3 design revisions or edits to the preliminary stationery design of your choice. Revisions can generally be turned around in 2 business days. Once allotment of design revisions have been used up, subsequent stationery edits may be subject to additional hourly billing. Certain simple edits can still be performed at no charge.

Print-Ready Imposition bundle of your stationery set up for offset printing (PANTONE or CMYK colours). Includes letterhead, business card and envelope. All stationery artwork is supplied with outlined fonts for maximum printer compatibility.

Additional file formats that you might need

Depending on the design and layout of of your letterhead, you may require additional file formats. If, for example, you want to print your letterhead using office desktop printers, and we've created the commercial printing version as 'bleed artwork', you may opt to have your letterhead also set up to fit with 8 1/2" x 11" letterhead sheets, taking into consideration the margins required by most desktop printers. Nominal charges may apply.
