Boasting some of the best logo designers in the field, The Logo Factory has been creating corporate identity and logos for clients throughout the world since 1996. Since then, we've been one of the true innovators of logos and their design, especially the process of working with clients remotely and online. By using our website, you can submit your new project - whether you're in Toronto or half way across the world - and work with our designers without ever leaving your desk. Login to our client only Factory Floor area where you can preview initial designs, suggest revisions and edits until you're satisfied with your new logo and are satisfied it's worthy of representing your company. Once the design process is completely, you can download all the necessary files and formats you'll need - everything from traditional printing to websites - and your new logo is ready for launch. You also work with our designers on everything from brochures to flash animations, all in the same manner. In terms of our logo design services, here's what The Logo Factory is proud to offer:
Unparalleled experience
The Logo Factory is not a company that dabbles in designing logos. We're a studio that was built from the ground up specializing in logos - over 95% of our projects start with a logo development. For over a decade we've been working with clients the world over with thousands of successful projects under our collective belts and our designers are considered some of the best in the industry. See our work.
 Award winning design
Our work has been featured in Inc., Fortune , Entrepreneur and other magazines. Many of our logos have been published in prestigious publications like the popular Logo Lounge, a wildly respected annual showcasing the best logos in the industry. We approach every project like it's for a Fortune 500 company, regardless of the client, or the package selected.
Reasonable rates
Working with The Logo Factory probably costs a lot less than you'd expect. We offer a full-range of competitively priced logo packages, each tailored to encompass creative scope, budget and time frame requirements.
Technical support
An effective logo design is more than just a 'pretty picture'. In order to effectively manage your brand, you'll need a wide range of technically proficient file formats. Our experience in working with logo specific files and formats is second to none. Visit our design help centre for much more information.
How our logo design services work
Your project begins when you submit a project brief via our website, FAX order form or by contacting our studio, either in person at our Mississauga studio, or via phone or our online contact form.
From the information you supply us, we'll select the designer with the experience or creative style that best meets your requirements. They'll assess your project - contact you if there's more information needed - and will develop some preliminary concepts and rough ideas which we'll post on our client only Factory Floor area. Once these designs are ready, you can log in, to our website, view the preliminary designs and read whatever notes and suggestions your designer may have made.

What will you see? If your project is illustrative in nature, we'll present some sketches for you to preview. If not, we'll present final digital artwork that will give you a very real idea of how the presented logos will work. After this initial round of preliminary designs are presented, you can send your designer any suggestions and comments you might have, and through a 'back and forth' series of revision rounds, you'll hone in on a finalized design - one that will proudly represent your company, product or service. Once the design process is completed, and you've finalized on a suitable logo, we'll set up all the file formats you'll need for print and web reproduction. These files will be available for download from your client page and you can start using your new logo right away.
After the logo design process is complete, you can work with your designer on any additional items included in the design package you originally chose, or any additional graphic design material you've ordered afterwards including flash animation, 3D animation and corporate screensavers. Once we're finished, we'll pack everything up on a CD and send it to you, completed with copyright transfer documents and style guides so that you can begin building your brand.

Getting Started on your logo design project
While working with a designer on a logo may seem like a daunting process at first, we've streamlined the creative steps so that you can work with our staff completely online, and without ever leaving your desk. All you really need to do is to select a logo package, submit a project form via our website and we'll do the rest. Before you do so, however, there are some things you should think about so that we can tailor your custom logo to your exact requirements. Ask yourself, what type of logo would best suit your marketing goals and audience? Do you want a logo that's created in the traditional spot colour palette, or are you open to a full colour treatment? These aspects of your logo are decided by personal taste, market sensibilities and your marketing budget. While the number of colours is not a factor in the design process itself, it may have some ramifications when it comes to printing of support material that features your logo. The type of logo you choose - text, iconic, graphic or illustrative - may impact the type of logo package you need to purchase from our studio. Our customer service department are more than happy to discuss these considerations with you, so feel free to contact us at any time.

Copyright transfer and ownership documentation.
After your logo is finalized, we'll send you all the necessary files required to use your mark in a wide range of applications and media. You'll receive web ready formats, as well as traditional commercial printing formats. We'll also supply you with file formats that can be imported into your own office software applications, so you can add your new logo to internally printed material. All our logos are created as professional quality vector versions - the industry standard for animation, print, embroidery and sign making. With our Basic File Format bundle, you'll receive different logo formats set up as follows:

EPS (Encapsulated Postscript) & AI File Formats
These
files are the required VECTOR based source files of ANY logo design. This is a editable and scalable version of your new logo from which anyone can create all other formats and image types. Use of this file generally requires a VECTOR based software (Adobe Illustrator is the choice of TLF designers). This file format has any PMS (Pantone) or CMYK values embedded so this is the file that your print shop will require. We consider this to be a professional file - one that requires a little knowledge and/or software to access.

JPG File Formats
Industry standard for the distribution of high-quality images, while still remaining small enough in file size for bandwidth and download speed concerns. This is the source file for PIXEL based images. Can be either CMYK or RGB (more CMYK friendly .TIF is suggested if working with PIXEL based images for offset printing). Can be multiple resolutions from 300 (print production and/or special FX) to 72 dpi (web site and other electronic reproduction). Generally larger file size than .GIFs but true color accuracy when colors are outside the 216 web-safe range. Cannot have transparent backgrounds on web sites, but can be converted to .PNG for import into Flash.

GIF File Formats
In order to reduce file sizes on the web, image files require file 'optimization' to reduce the number of colors to a web-safe 216 (though your designer may use a 256 colour palette). These files are then resaved as .GIFs and are almost exclusively for web site usage. If your logo is particularly complex, or contains colors that cannot be duplicated using the available 216 color palette, you may have to utilize a .JPG version. A .GIF image can feature transparent backgrounds for use on different color web pages (but may have a rough or 'jagged' edge). Can feature some color shifting due to differences in various color palettes from .EPS and .JPGs. Can also feature some 'pixelating' of certain colors as they are forced into a 216 color palette. As .gif files are non-scalable, we'll also supply you with a variety of sizes, so that you can import your new logo directly into any web site without resizing.

Additional formats with Professional packages
Our Professional (& higher) logo packages also include a number of additional versions of your logo, in all applicable formats, including black and white grayscale, black and white linear files, important to have on standby when colour reproduction is not available.

Black & white greyscale
A black and white greyscale version of your logo is a version that is made up of tones which are in turn made up from varying sizes of black dots. A greyscale version of your logo is suitable for BW print reproduction, resolution permitting. This version of your logo will be supplied in vector and bitmap formats.
Black & white linear
A black and white linear version of your logo is a version that is made up of solid black. There are no half-tones (screens) or greys. This is the best type of logo for use on low-resoluton reproduction. This version of your logo will be supplied in vector and bitmap formats.
Plus Logo Packages
Our Plus Logo Packages also include stationery design - letterhead, business cards and envelopes so that you're ready to promote your new 'look' with every contact you have with potential customers and clients. When submitting your logo design project, you can order stationery design at the same time as part of a PLUS package & save $95.00. Features letterhead, business card (up to four individual's cards) and envelope design.
