Brochure Design Services

Even in this digital age, the age-old brochure remains one of the most effective ways to get your business message out. When you work with The Logo Factory to create your new logo, we learn quite a bit about your new company, your business philosophy and your design sensibilities. So who better to create your new brochures, flyers and other marketing material than the designers responsible for the birth of your new company identity? Using the same design techniques as Fortune 500 companies, our designers can create the 'look-and-feel' of a multinational company, at a fraction of the prices they are paying. As our artwork is created digitally, your brochure can be printed via commercial printing, desktop printers or made available as a download from your website.

Brochure printing - desktop, electronic and traditional

More often than not, you'll reproduce your brochure using traditional methods - a commercial printer or local copy shop. Not a problem - all TLF artwork is 'print shop ready'. Further, and due to the vast improvements of desktop printing technology, you'll also be able to print your brochure on your own desktop printer, thanks to Adobe's PDF (Portable Document Format). PDFs can also be made available for download via your website - clients and customers no longer have to wait for your brochure to arrive in the mail.

Due to their small file size, PDF brochures can be designed (and printed) like any traditional brochure, complete with photographs, graphics, charts and illustrations. As all the fonts and text are imbedded in the file itself, PDF documents can be printed by any commercial printer as well. But there's more - as these files are digital, they can also be embedded with active web links that will automatically launch a browser and open the requested web page when clicked. PDF formats are included with all our brochure design projects.

Getting started - what we'll need

In order to design your brochure, as well as streamline the design process, we'll need the following items before we can begin developing your artwork:

Vector version of your logo.
If your logo was created by our studio, we'll already have this vector artwork on file. If not, and you only have a low-resolution or pre-printed version available, we may need to perform some logo repair.

Pizza Brochure

Text, copy and callouts.
Client supplied copy is the stumbling block of many brochure design projects, yet it is the most important part of the brochure itself. Think of it this way, our designers need the ingredients before we can 'bake the cake', with the cake in this instance being your brochure. Accordingly, we'll need all the relevant sales messages, contact information and call out titles that you wish to have worked into the design. Should you require, our staff can assist you in developing effective brochure copy.

Additional photography and artwork.
If you wish to include your own photographs in your brochure, we'll need those. If you wish to use photography, but have none available, we can help you select stock photographs from our various sources (additional charges will apply). If you wish to add other logos - trade associations for example - we'll need vector versions of those (or in a high enough print resolution). If you would like us to create custom illustrations or artwork, we can discuss that as well. Simple illustrations and graphics are usually included in the pricing of your brochure design, but more complex artwork may require additional time charges. There is also a wide variety of excellent vector-based artwork available from our internal catalog (Logos in a Box) or external stock artwork agencies. Our designers can assist you in selecting the artwork that's best suited for your project.

Depending on the application and planned reproduction of your brochure, you may require additional file formats. If, for example, you want to print your brochure using office desktop printers, and we've created the commercial printing version as 'bleed artwork', you may opt to have your brochure set up to fit with 8 1/2" x 11" letterhead sheets, taking into consideration the margins required by most desktop printers. This may also be applicable if you're distributing your brochure via a PDF download on your website and want to ensure that people who download your brochure can print it on their desktop printers. Nominal charges may apply.

Additional file formats that you might need

Four colour files: If your brochure was originally set up as spot colour artwork and you plan to use an online printer, keep this mind - most online printers require the files that you upload to their website to be in CMYK format. Our designers can assist you in the preparation of this type of artwork should it be required.

TIFF Files: - Sometimes requested by printers who are 'gang printing' brochures on a large sheet with other similar printing jobs. While not recommended by The Logo Factory, this is a common method employed by discount and online printers.

You can order your new brochure design project, right now, by submitting our online project form or by contacting our client support department for more details. For more information, see our brochure design FAQ.
