Uses
Print, spot colour reproduction, colour changes, editing, scaling (enlargement) and a source file for the creation of .gif, .jpg and other pixel based formats.

File names
Encapsulated Postscript files have the file extensions .eps. Files with the file extensions of .ai are created by Adobe Illustrator.

EPS Formats - Properties
Advantages and distinct properties of your .eps based logo files. Some of the editing properties listed below will require the use of professional Vector drawing software such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw.

	Spot colour reproduction available. Your logo can be reproduced as a spot colour design (using Pantone Matching System Colours), an economical and highly accurate method of traditional print (letterheads, business cards, etc.).
	CMYK colour reproduction available. Your logo can be reproduced in conjunction with other CMYK images (ie: colour photographs in brochures and catalogues). Will require four colour process printing.
	RGB colour reproduction available. Your logo can be converted to feature RGB colours for use in electronic publishing
	Small file size. Can be transported to printers, design vendors & transmitted electronically (via e-mail) efficiently.
	Editable text. The text portion of your logo can be replaced easily (will require access to the font originally used in the design as the text in your logo will generally be outlined).
	Selectable editing. Individual pieces of your logo can be edited, resized, moved or removed.
	Scalable (reduction). Your logo can be scaled down without any image degradation.
	Scalable (enlargement). Due to unlimited resolution, your logo can be used at any size without degradation.
	Empty background box. Your logo can be placed on any coloured background without 'bounding box' effect. .eps based images do not have any background thus any background that the image is placed on will 'peek' through the 'holes' in your logo's footprint.
	Colour swapable. The colours of your logo can be changed quickly. You can select individual portions of your design, or change all the colours at once (globally).
	Convertible. You can create any other format of your logo from an .eps based version. These other versions (including pixel based formats) can be created at any size and at any resolution.
	Create Black/White greyscale (halftone) logo. Your logo can be converted to Black and White and converted to all applicable formats.
	Create Black/White linear logo. Your logo can be converted to linear (0% tone) Black and White logo version.
