Q: What form of payment does The Logo Factory accept? A: We offer numerous forms of payment, but most clients simply order their design projects via our website and submit credit payments via our secure payment gateway Internet Secure. You can also pay by cheque by mail, courier (we cannot schedule any design project until we have received appropriate payment) or, if you're in the Brampton, Mississauga or Toronto area, you can always drop by the studio (see here for map and address) and make payment in person. We can only process credit card orders manually, so if you wish to book a project by phone, feel free to call us at the studio on either our local number (Mississauga and Toronto) or via our toll-free number (outside Toronto, USA & International). See our contact page for all relevant numbers. Q: Is my credit card information safe? A: As wild as it seems, some web sites still ask you to submit credit card numbers and expiry dates through forms on unsecured, and UN-encrypted pages. By sending your information through these pages (or via e-mail), you are asking for trouble,. This information can be intercepted quite easily. Make sure that all Internet credit card transactions are via secure servers (the little padlock in the corner of your browser window) and avoid sites that do not use secure pages like the plague. Also, be very wary of companies that promise to phone you, after your job is submitted, to gather credit card information. In order to obtain secure credit card status, there are certain hoops that a company has to jump through, most of which involve proving the company's legitimacy. If an Internet company does not have secure credit card access through their site, there must be a reason. Try and find out what it is. Also, by giving your credit card information over the phone, to a company you're unsure about, you're also bypassing a lot of the security measures put in place for YOUR protection. The Logo Factory has secure credit card status for VISA, MasterCard and Discovery on all our sites (since 1999). Q: Alternatives to ordering by Credit Card? A: Our credit card services provider InterNet Secure is recognized for safety and security so all your details will be safe. However, if you still have If you wish to order a project via FAX, you can always download our FAX worksheets here. Q: Some sites offer a money-back guarantee. I didn't notice that on your site? A: The Logo Factory offers a limited logo design service guarantee. We just don't trumpet it in a gold starburst on our home page, hoping you won't notice the fine print. And let's take a look at the 'fine print' of another company's '100% money back guarantee'. On the home page: Pretty well the same as our limited guarantee but like always, The Logo Factory is up front about everything regarding our company, and our services. Under certain conditions we will issue full refunds, in certain cases we can't. Just like everybody else. For all the details, visit our terms & conditions page. We also offer an early sign-off credits programme, so you're only paying for work that you request. Combined with our pricing, we feel that our rates are not only competitive, but are reasonable and realistic for the professional services you're purchasing. Q: Some sites advertise 'get started' for $150.00 yet TLF charges a retainer for professional packages. A: Once again, these sites are being a little 'iffy' in their pitch with cleverly worded ad text. As usual, check the fine print. The 'get started' is the the $150.00 you will pay to activate your project. And yes, you do 'get started'. Trouble is, you have to pay another $150.00 to get your final art and files (get finished?). The 'get started' fee is actually a retainer (as we call it) and you still need to pay a balance (which we call it) at the end. Just like The Logo Factory. We just tell you that, in PLAIN wording, up front. We're also very clear about the number of preliminary designs, as well as the number of revisions. Some sites will show you 3 'unique logo comps' and then you can pick one and make up to three rounds of alterations. Trouble is, if they don't come up with a logo that you don't like in the first round, you're stuck. We plainly outline our entire process so that you know exactly where you stand. Q: Do you offer services in Canadian Funds? A: Yes. As our web site in located in Canada, The Logo Factory offers all our design services in Canadian funds through our '.ca' site and at our Mississauga based studio. We also offer $US transactions for our American and International clients through our '.com' site.
